LUSH Mask of Magnaminty: Review and Pictures

I have oily skin.

No, y'all, like I have REALLY oily skin. I'm that girl who has to bring blotting sheets and pressed powder with her in the dead of winter when everyone else's skin is so dry it hurts. I stay far, far away from products that promise a "dewey finish" or "natural glow" because I have enough natural glow of my own, thank you very much.

Well friends, I think I've finally found a product that can handle my oily skin.

LUSH Mask of Magnaminty

Lush describes this product as a "Deeply cleansing, toning, and exfoliating pepperminty mask. Refreshes and brightens all it touches."

This product looks like a typical clay mask; thick, green, gooey. But this one has little exfoliating flakes that work to scrub off dead skin cells while the mask does it's thing. It also has peppermint oil in it, which makes it smell extra yummy but also makes your eyes water a little bit when you wear it.

I've been using this mask once or twice a week for about a month now and I've seen a huge improvement in my skin. I've noticed fewer active breakouts, less blackheads, and my skin has even stopped producing oil in the same extraordinary manor it was before.

My only complaints are that it tingles when you put in on; something that I don't mind but other people might not be so fond of. And that the little exfoliating flakes sometimes fall off your face as the mask is drying.

All in all, this is a solid product and one that I will be repurchasing. What is your favorite face mask of the moment?

xoxo,
Caitlin
